We have some exciting news from Mrs. Swords’ Class! Mrs. Swords applied for an MFEE grant to purchase some new novels and nonfiction materials for our classroom, and she earned $300 worth of books! She will be purchasing some Bluford Series books and nonfiction books from Townsend Press. All year, students have been asking Mrs. Swords for Bluford books, and the collection was not sizable enough to meet everyone’s needs. But now, with the help of the grant, we can use the Bluford books and other nonfiction titles as READ Bingo books! We will be able to purchase at least 15 copies of EACH book in the 15-book series! The rest of the money will be used to purchase real-life survivor and adventure stories, also provided at a wonderful price at www.townsendpress.com.
