Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Once the state testing begins, our school district will not continue to provide free after school tutoring. However, I was made aware of free tutoring in our community through fliers posted in our school. The organization that can provide free, local tutoring is called Blue Wave NJ. The email address to contact if you are interested in your child still receiving free tutoring is josette07112@yahoo.com.
I STRONGLY encourage you and your child to discuss this possibility. This tutoring can be specifically for homework and/or reading help, not just test preparation.
PLEASE contact me if you pursue this tutoring, and I can give you suggestions as to what your child could benefit from with skills he or she needs to work on (reading fluency, accuracy, comprehension, etc.). You can let Blue Wave NJ know of my recommendations, and that can get the learning process started more quickly. I’m so excited this is available to our community!!
